- Inter School Hindi Declamation and Shalokocharan Competition was held at Geeta Adarsh Vidyalaya, Solan. Our school got 2nd prize out of 19 schools.
- Students participated in a painting competition organised by Rotary Club, Kasauli in Hotel R Maidens, Kasauli. In the Seniors category, Rigzin X!-Sc stood 1st and Divya Kashiv bagged the consolation prize.
- Inter School Hindi Declamation was held at Pinegrove School, Subathu on 06 Sep 2008. Master Ashutosh Kothari got the 1st Prize.
- Kirlosker Inter School Business Quiz 2008 was held on 06 Sep 2008. Our student got consolation prize. 20 public school had participated in this quiz.
- Inter School Hindi Declamation was held on 13 Sep 2008 at Lawrance School, Sanawar. Our school has won the trophy & Miss Vaishali & Miss Garima got individual prizes.
SPECIAL FEATURES – CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR
- 22nd Founders’ Day & Annual Day was celebrated on 01 June 2008. Lt Gen J P Singh, AVSM, GOC 2 Corps was the Chief Guest for the function. Mrs Rita J P Singh, President AWWA, HQ 2 Corps was Guest of Honour on the occasion.
- Maj Gen (Retd) Manmohan Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Managing Director (AWES) visited the school on 07 June 2008 on closing ceremony of the Career Progression Workshop.
- Investiture Ceremony was held on 13 May 2008. Col Sanjeev Sood, Commandant 14 GTC & Chairman APS Dagshai was the Chief Guest for the function.
- Plantation of 45 herbal plants & 100 trees was carried out by the staff and students in the evening on 06 Sep 2008.
- Master Vikas Tyagi, Ex Tagore House has qualified for NDA.
- Master Chander Shekhar, Ex Tagore House has joined AF Academy.
- Master Harmik & Tushar Sangwan, Ex Nehru has joined IMA.
- Master Kavinder Gurung, Ex Patel has joined OTA.
- Master Gagandeep, Ex Nehru had attended India Camp for Hammer Throw
under 19 held at Kuala Lampur in Aug 2008.
AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION
APS Dagshai is first school in India who is having Automatic weather station (AWS) and Respirable Dust Sample (RDS) is installed in collaboration with GB Pant Institute of Himalayan and Development(Autonomous Institure of Ministry of Environment and Forest)
AWS measure Six Parameters as under:
- Temperature
- Pressure
- Humidity
- Wind Speed
- Wind Direction
- Rain Fall
- RDS Measures four parameters
- TSP (Total suspended particular matters whose size is less than 10 micron)
- PM10 (Particular Matter whose size is more than 10 micron)
- The presense of SO2
- The presense of NO2
