  1. IPSC Trust Scholarship: IPSC Trust has awarded two scholarships ) for academic excellence as under:-

  2. The following students have been awarded by HQ Western Command for academic excellence :-

    (d) Miss Swathi - XII Rs 1,000/-
  3. Master Ankaj Sharma has been awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- by Dir of Edn, HP for Academic excellence.
  4. GOC-in-C, Western Command gave Rs. 1,50,000/- to put in the FDR. The interest earned on this FDR will be utilized to give two cash incentive to the toppers of class X & XII.

CO-CURRICULAR & OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

  1. Limca Book of Records Quiz 2009 was held at Shimla on 23 Sep 2009, in which 204 students from 35 schools had participated. Our school team stood first & got the Limca Book of Records Quiz 2009 trophy. Master Ishan Kashyap & Miss Aditi Despande got individual prizes.
  2. Kirlosker Inter School Business Quiz 2009 was held on 05 Sep 2009 at Lawrence School, Sanawar. Our student got consolation prize. 20 public school had participated in this quiz.
  3. IPSC Inter Public School English Debate was conducted at PPS, Nabha. Miss Vaishali Negi & Miss Shabnam have represented the school.
  4. IPSC IT Fest was held at VD Jindal Public School, Hisar. Our school was placed overall 3rd. Master Uday Katoch & Master Anurag stood second in web page designing. Master Rigzin was placed second in digital cartoon making.
  5. Inter School Hindi Declamation and Shalokocharan Competition was held at Geeta Adarsh Vidyalaya, Solan. Our school got 1st prize out of 22 schools.
  6. Miss Vaishali Negi of our school had represented HP State at National Level Dance Competition held at Faizabad and stood First.
  7. Students participated in a painting competition organised by Rotary Club, Kasauli in Hotel R Maidens, Kasauli. In the Seniors category, Rigzin XI-Sc stood 1st and Divya Kashiv bagged the consolation prize.
  8. A Dance & painting competition was held at Solan on 01 May 2010. Where 200 students from various schools had participated. Miss Tania Chhetri stood first & Ashutosh Kothari stood second in senior category. Master Rigzin Norboo got third prize in middle category.
  9. Our girls handball team stood first in 2 Corps Inter Army Schools/ Army Public Schools Handball Championship.
  10. Our girls handball team stood second in Inter Fmn (Comd level) Girls Handball Championship held at APS, Beas.
  11. Our girls volleyball team stood first in 2 Corps Inter Army Schools/ Army Public Schools Championship.
  12. Our boys hockey team stood second in 2 Corps Inter Army School/Army Public School hockey championship held at Dehradun.
  13. Our quiz team stood second in Inter Army School/ Army Public School quiz competition held at AS, Ambala Cantt.
  14. Twelve of our students have participated in National Level Baseball Championship held at Goa in May 2010.

SPECIAL FEATURES – CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR

  1. 24th Founders’ Day & Annual Day was celebrated on 01 June 2010. LT GEN M S BUTTAR VSM Chief of Staff Wetern Command was the Chief Guest for the function.
  2. Maj Gen Manmohan Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Managing Director (AWES) visited the school on 21st May 2010.

APS Dagshai is first school in India who is having Automatic weather station (AWS) and Respirable Dust Sample (RDS) is installed in collaboration with GB Pant Institute of Himalayan and Development(Autonomous Institure of Ministry of Environment and Forest)

AWS measure Six Parameters as under:

  4. Wind Speed
  5. Wind Direction
  6. Rain Fall
  7. RDS Measures four parameters
  8. TSP (Total suspended particular matters whose size is less than 10 micron)
