Principal's Desk
Parents are constantly on the look out for residential schools
where there children can have that kind of education which not
only includes academics but also broadens their horizons and increases
their self confidence so that they are able to face the world
boldly, and are successful in whichever field they decide to choose
as their careers.
To dispel the parent's fears and to provide the right platform
to their children, we in the APS Dagshai cater for an atmosphere
for modern educational facilities- curriculum, provisions for
games and sports, art, cultural activities and so on. If last
year we had added V SAT based education, this year we would lay
emphasis on career counseling for students, in -service training
for teachers. And in order to imbibe the spirit of competition
we have also started Rifle Shooting Club for our children.
APS, Dagshai is a place where one learns about the totality and
wholesome of life. We work at "PANCHMUKHI SHIKSHA" (five
fold education- physical, practical, aesthetic, moral and intellectual).
According to Vedanta philosophy human beings are multi-plane configurations.
They live simultaneously in physical, mental, intellectual and
spiritual plans. Hence, the aim of education is development of
body, mind and soul.
According to Vedanta philosophy to develop the wholesome personality
of an individual, value education should be the base. I quote:
"Watch your Values, they make your Sanskar.
Watch your Sanskar, they make your feelings.
Watch your Feelings, they make your Thoughts.
Watch your Thoughts, they make your Words.
Watch your Word, they make your actions.
Watch your Actions, they make your Habits.
Watch your Habits, they make your Destiny."
Hence, values are the keys to life which make a person happy
and successful. In the APS Dagshai, we take into consideration
these individual goals in the larger context of social goals.
We believe that these children will grow to be either a husband
or a wife, father or a mother, a neighbour or a member of our
social fibre.
Here we nurture them to begin their journey of life. We wish each
one of them good luck and God Speed!
